16 Mbit NOR Flash for automotive code storage
It stores firmware or calibration data in automotive ECUs, ADAS modules, and industrial controllers where non-volatile memory with fast random access is needed. The 108 MHz clock frequency with Quad I/O SPI interface provides read throughput suitable for execute-in-place (XIP) or shadowing code to RAM on boot.
The SPI interface supports Quad I/O operation at 108 MHz, giving a theoretical read throughput of 54 MB/s in quad mode. This is enough to feed a Cortex-M or similar MCU executing directly from Flash without waiting for a RAM copy. The 3 ms page write time (typical) matters for OTA updates — budget around 3 seconds to rewrite the full 16 Mbit array at page granularity.
