The FM25V02A-DGQTR from Cypress (now Infineon) is a 256Kbit Ferroelectric RAM organized as 32K x 8 bits. It speaks SPI at up to 40 MHz and reads or writes any address at bus speed — no page-erase wait, no write-cycle delay like EEPROM or Flash. That makes it a fit for applications that log data frequently or need non-volatile storage without a write-time hole: smart meters, industrial event recorders, medical calibration stores, and RAID controller parameter tables.
