128Kbit FRAM with SPI — the non-volatile memory that writes like SRAM
The Infineon FM25V01A-G is a 128Kbit Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) organized as 16K x 8 bits, accessed through an SPI bus running up to 40 MHz. Unlike EEPROM or Flash, FRAM writes at bus speed with no write-cycle delay and no erase-before-write step — the same cycle time applies to both reads and writes. For a data-logging application writing 16 bytes every 100 ms, that means the bus is never held waiting for a page-write to finish.
No end-of-life notice or last-time-buy window is in effect.
Housed in an 8-pin SOIC (3.90 mm width, 0.154" body), the package footprint matches the standard JEDEC MS-012 variation. The tube packaging (50 pieces per tube typical) suits both prototype runs and low-to-mid volume assembly.
