FRAM core — non-volatile writes without the EEPROM wait
The FM24V02-GTR is a 256Kbit Ferroelectric RAM (FRAM) from Infineon's F-RAM™ series, organized as 32K x 8 and accessed over an I²C bus at up to 3.4 MHz. Unlike EEPROM, FRAM writes at bus speed — the 130 ns access time applies to both read and write cycles, so there is no page-write delay or erase-before-write penalty.
8-SOIC board-fit and sourcing reality
The Tape & Reel packaging (TR suffix) means the reel quantity and moisture sensitivity level (MSL) should be verified before opening — an opened reel that exceeds the floor-life requires a bake per J-STD-033.
