256Kbit asynchronous SRAM in a through-hole DIP — what you're getting
The CY7C199-35PC from Infineon (originally Cypress Semiconductor) is a 256Kbit asynchronous SRAM organized as 32K words by 8 bits. It's a parallel-interface memory with a 35 ns access time, running on a 5V supply (4.5V to 5.5V range). This is a volatile memory — data is retained only while power is applied.
The 35 ns access time and 35 ns write cycle time are symmetric.
Through-hole PDIP — rework and handling notes
The 28-pin PDIP package has a 0.300" body width and fits standard DIP sockets.
New stock is available through the independent distribution channel.
