144 Mbit DDR II+ SRAM at 400 MHz — bus timing and buffer fit
The Cypress CY7C1648KV18-400BZXC is a 144 Mbit synchronous SRAM organized as 8M x 18, clocked at 400 MHz with a DDR II+ pipeline interface. It operates from a 1.7 V to 1.9 V core supply and is housed in a 165-ball FBGA (15x17 mm) for surface-mount assembly. This part targets high-bandwidth buffer applications in networking line cards, telecom switches, and test equipment where the 400 MHz double-data-rate burst eliminates dead cycles on a parallel bus.
At 400 MHz, the DDR II+ interface transfers data on both clock edges. The 8M x 18 organization provides an 18-bit-wide data bus.
