The CY7C1518KV18-333BZC is a 72Mbit synchronous SRAM using a DDR II+ interface, clocked at 333 MHz. The 4M x 18 organization gives you an 18-bit data bus — useful for a 16-bit data path with parity or an 18-bit ECC word. The 333 MHz clock delivers a peak bandwidth of 1.33 Gbytes/s on a 36-bit data bus (two 18-bit words per clock), which is the ceiling for a high-throughput packet buffer or a cache line store in a network processor or telecom line card.
Package and board-fit — 165-ball FBGA
Housed in a 165-ball FBGA measuring 13x15 mm (supplier device package 165-FBGA). The fine-pitch BGA rules out hand-soldering — you need a controlled reflow profile, X-ray inspection after placement, and a stencil that matches the 0.80 mm ball pitch. The tray delivery format means pick-and-place lines need a tray feeder; the part is not supplied on tape-and-reel. Core supply is 1.7V to 1.9V, which ties the SRAM to a 1.8V rail — common on FPGA and ASIC boards. The commercial temperature range (0°C to 70°C) limits deployment to indoor, temperature-controlled environments like server racks, telecom central offices, or lab instrumentation.
