12 ns asynchronous SRAM for legacy bus interfaces
The CY7C1399BNL-12ZXC is a 256Kbit asynchronous SRAM organized as 32K x 8, with a 12 ns access time that sets the read-cycle timing floor for a bus-interface design — at 12 ns the part can keep pace with a 66 MHz bus without wait states, but a faster 8 ns or 10 ns part would be needed for a 100 MHz bus. The 12 ns write cycle time (word, page) matches the read access — no asymmetric timing penalty in a mixed-read/write workload.
