The CY7C1380KV33-167AXCT is a 18 Mbit synchronous SRAM organized as 512K words × 36 bits — the 36-bit word width is a natural fit for processor buses that carry parity or ECC alongside the data, saving an external mux or a second memory bank. The 100-LQFP package (14×20 mm body, 0.5 mm pitch) is a fine-pitch QFP that a careful hand-solderer can tackle with a decent iron and flux — no BGA reflow or X-ray inspection required.
