At 167 MHz the bus cycle is 6 ns. With a 3.4 ns access time you have roughly 2.6 ns of setup margin before the next clock edge, assuming zero board delay. That is tight but workable with matched trace lengths and a clean clock tree. The 36-bit data bus (512K x 36) feeds a 72-bit wide word when paired with a second device, common in 64-bit plus ECC memory subsystems. The 100-TQFP (14x20 mm) package keeps signal inductance lower than a larger QFP, but the fine pitch (0.5 mm) demands careful solder-paste stencil design for reliable reflow.
