133 MHz synchronous SRAM for high-throughput cache and buffer applications
The Infineon CY7C1361KVE33-133AXM is a 9Mbit synchronous SRAM organized as 256K x 36, clocked at 133 MHz with a 6.5 ns access time. This part is designed for high-bandwidth data buffering, cache memory, and communication frame stores where deterministic read/write timing and zero dead cycles matter. The 100-TQFP package (14x20 mm body) is a surface-mount footprint common in networking, telecom, and avionics line cards.
At 133 MHz the clock period is roughly 7.5 ns. The 6.5 ns access time leaves about 1 ns of setup margin before the next clock edge, which is tight but workable with controlled impedance traces and matched propagation delays. In a system using this SRAM as a look-up table or packet buffer, the access time directly limits the back-to-back read rate. The synchronous interface eliminates the bus-turnaround dead cycles of asynchronous SRAM, so the controller can pipeline reads and writes at the full clock rate.
Military temperature range — deployment context
The 100-TQFP package is a standard plastic quad flat pack; for extended mission life in sealed environments, verify the board-level conformal coating and moisture sensitivity level (MSL) before reflow. The 3.135V to 3.6V supply rail is compatible with 3.3V logic families, but the lower end of the range matters during power-up sequencing or brownout conditions.
For production BOMs this removes the obsolescence risk that often plagues older synchronous SRAMs.
