200 MHz synchronous SRAM for high-throughput buffer applications
The Infineon CY7C1360C-200BGC is a 9 Mbit synchronous SRAM organized as 256K words by 36 bits. The 36-bit width maps a 32-bit data bus plus a parity or ECC nibble in one device, which is the standard configuration for packet buffers in network switches, router line cards, and telecom line cards where back-to-back reads at the full clock rate are required. The 200 MHz clock rate delivers a peak data rate of 7.2 Gbit/s on the 36-bit bus. The synchronous pipeline eliminates the dead cycles of asynchronous SRAM, so the controller can issue a new address every clock cycle without wait states.
The CY7C1360C-200BGC carries an official Last Buy status. Infineon has issued an end-of-life notice, and the last-time-buy window is either closed or closing. New production builds should not specify this part for design-in; it is a legacy BOM line that must be filled through the remaining LTB allocation or the surplus/broker channel. For a production line still qualifying this device, the procurement path is last-time-buy inventory held by franchised distributors or independent stock.
