Supply rails and temperature — the operating envelope
For industrial or outdoor deployment, a wider-temperature variant from the same family would be required. The parallel memory interface uses separate address and data buses — 18 address lines for the 256K depth and 36 data lines for the word width. This means the PCB fan-out from the 100-TQFP package (14x20 mm body) must route 54 signal traces plus control lines, which typically drives a 4-layer or 6-layer board stack-up to maintain signal integrity at 166 MHz.
