The CY7C1321KV18-250BZCT is an 18 Mbit synchronous SRAM organized as 512K x 36, clocked at 250 MHz. In DDR II mode, data is transferred on both edges of the clock, giving a peak bandwidth of 2.25 GB/s across the 36-bit bus — enough to feed a high-end network processor or FPGA without stalling the pipeline. The 1.7 V to 1.9 V core supply lets it sit on a 1.8 V nominal rail with margin for droop. The parallel interface means the address and control lines share the same voltage domain as the core, so no external level translator is needed if the controller also runs at 1.8 V.
Package, temperature grade, and board integration
Housed in a 165-ball FBGA measuring 13 x 15 mm, the part is a direct fit for high-density memory arrays on multi-layer PCBs. The 0.80 mm ball pitch is standard for this density class — a four-layer board with via-in-pad or dogbone fan-out handles the routing without microvias.
