The CY7C131-55NXCT: Organized as 1K x 8, this 8Kbit dual-port asynchronous SRAM delivers a 55 ns access time — the window from address valid to data valid on the parallel bus. Dual-port architecture means two independent devices (or a processor and an FPGA) can read and write the same memory array simultaneously, with arbitration logic handling contention. The parallel interface keeps the bus simple — no serial protocol overhead — but ties up more PCB traces than a serial SRAM.
Housed in a 52-BQFP (10x10 mm 52-PQFP) surface-mount package. The 0.65 mm pitch BQFP footprint is a standard fine-pitch QFP — no exotic soldering process needed, but the fine leads are sensitive to board flex and require careful handling during rework.
