The Infineon CY7C1145KV18-400BZXI is a synchronous QDR II+ (Quad Data Rate) SRAM with an 18Mbit density organized as 512K x 36. The 400 MHz clock rate delivers four words per clock cycle — two reads and two writes — giving the memory bus the bandwidth to keep a 36-bit datapath fed without dead cycles between read and write turns. That bus-turnaround elimination is the reason QDR II+ parts show up in network packet buffers, search engines, and high-speed telecom line cards where back-to-back transactions are the norm, not the exception.
The 1.7V to 1.9V supply rail aligns with the core voltage of many modern FPGAs and network processors, letting the SRAM share a common power plane without an extra regulator. That 1.7V minimum is worth noting for cold-crank or brownout scenarios — the part stays operational down to that floor, not just at the nominal 1.8V.
