The CY7C1049BV33-15VC: For a processor running a 33 MHz or slower bus, this 15 ns window provides comfortable timing margin without wait states; at higher clock rates the margin shrinks and a faster SRAM (10 ns or 8 ns) would be needed. The parallel interface is straightforward to hook up — address, data, chip enable, output enable, write enable — no clock, no refresh overhead.
Rated for a supply range of 3V to 3.6V, this SRAM operates directly from a 3.3V rail without external level shifters. That covers the vast majority of 3.3V logic systems — FPGAs, ASICs, and microcontrollers with parallel memory interfaces. The write cycle time matches the read access time at 15 ns, so the bus timing is symmetric for read and write operations.
Not rated for industrial enclosures, outdoor cabinets, or automotive under-hood use; those applications would require an industrial or automotive temperature grade part.
