With a 15 ns access time, this SRAM can serve a 16-bit microcontroller or DSP running at clock speeds up to roughly 33 MHz without wait states, assuming the controller's read cycle time exceeds 15 ns. At higher clock rates, the bus controller must insert wait states or pipeline the access, which reduces throughput. For legacy designs originally validated with a 15 ns part, substituting a slower memory would break the timing closure.
64K x 16 organization and 3.3 V supply
