Dual-port synchronous SRAM — what it does
The CY7C09199V-9AXC is a Cypress synchronous dual-port SRAM, organized as 128K x 9 bits for a total density of 1.152 Mbit. It gives two independent bus masters simultaneous access to the same memory array through separate left and right ports, each running on its own clock up to 67 MHz.
Where it fits
This part lives in systems that need a shared memory mailbox between two processors, DSPs, or ASICs — think baseband-to-control-plane bridges in telecom line cards, video frame buffers between an FPGA and a host CPU, or multi-axis motion controllers where one port handles trajectory calculation and the other handles servo loop updates.
