What this dual-port SRAM does
The Cypress CY7C016A-15AC is a 144Kbit asynchronous dual-port SRAM organized as 16K x 9 bits. Two independent ports with separate address, data, and control lines let two bus masters — a DSP and an FPGA, or two microcontrollers — share the same memory array without external arbitration logic. The 9-bit width provides a dedicated parity bit alongside each byte, useful in telecom frame buffers or fault-tolerant control paths where single-bit error detection matters. Access time is 15 ns. Write cycle time matches at 15 ns for word and page modes.
Supply and temperature — legacy 5 V, indoor only
Supplied in tray, the device comes in an 80-LQFP package (14x14 mm body). Surface-mount only.
