Product details

Quad high-side switch with diagnostic feedback

The Infineon BTS5440GNT is a four-channel N-channel high-side power switch from the IntelliSense™ family. Each output delivers up to 5.7 A continuous, with a typical on-resistance of 21 mOhm.

At 5.7 A per channel, the conduction loss is I²R = 0.68 W per channel, or 2.7 W if all four channels are on simultaneously. The PG-DSO-28-19 package (a 28-pin SOIC wide-body, 7.50 mm width) dissipates that through the copper pad on the PCB — a 2 oz copper pour under the package is the practical heatsink. The 150°C junction rating gives headroom for high ambient temperatures common in engine bay or industrial cabinet environments.

Fault protection that reduces external BOM

The over-voltage clamp handles transients up to the 28 V load supply maximum.

Infineon lists the BTS5440GNT as obsolete.
