Four-channel high-side switch rated for under-hood temperatures
The Infineon BTS54040LBBAUMA1 is a four-channel N-channel high-side power switch from the Automotive series. Each output delivers up to 2 A continuous, with a typical on-resistance of 39 mOhm per channel.
Dual supply rails and SPI diagnostics
The load supply (VS) accepts 5.5 V to 28 V. Control and fault readback go through an SPI interface — the four outputs are addressed with a 1:1 input-to-output ratio.
Self-contained fault protection — no external sense components
Fault protection is integrated: fixed current limiting (no external sense resistor), over-temperature shutdown, and over-voltage clamping. The part handles a shorted load or a stalled motor without microcontroller intervention — the SPI interface reports the fault status so the ECU can log or respond.
PG-TSON-24-3 package and thermal pad
The 24-PowerTDFN package (PG-TSON-24-3) has an exposed thermal pad on the bottom. Surface-mount assembly follows standard lead-free reflow profiles.
