Product details

Dual high-side switch — 19 mOhm, 5.5 A per channel

The Infineon BTS5241GNUMA1 is a dual-channel high-side power switch from the PROFET family, designed for general-purpose switching of resistive, inductive, and capacitive loads. Each of the two N-channel outputs delivers up to 5.5 A continuous with a typical on-resistance of 19 mOhm, keeping conduction losses low in a 20-SOIC (PG-DSO-20-21) surface-mount package.

Protection and control — fixed current limit, open load, overtemperature

Built-in fault protection covers current limiting (fixed), open load detection, overtemperature shutdown, and overvoltage clamping. A status flag output signals fault conditions to the host controller. The switch auto-restarts after an overtemperature fault, which simplifies recovery in systems that cannot cycle power. The input is non-inverting with a simple On/Off interface — no external Vcc supply rail required for the logic side, which reduces BOM count in designs where the microcontroller GPIO directly drives the enable pin.

Infineon lists the BTS5241GNUMA1 as obsolete.

Frequently asked questions

Is BTS5241GNUMA1 obsolete?

Yes. Infineon has marked the BTS5241GNUMA1 as obsolete. There is no official manufacturer replacement listed, so procurement for existing designs relies on the surplus and broker channel.
