Obsolete PROFET — sourcing through independent channels
The BTS442E2 E3043: Sourcing is limited to surplus inventory and broker networks; availability and pricing are confirmed per RFQ on a per-lot basis.
15 mOhm Rds(on) — conduction loss floor
Typical on-resistance of 15 mOhm at 25°C junction — this is the conduction loss baseline for the high-side switch. At 17 A load current, I²R loss sits at about 4.3 W before derating for temperature rise; the actual junction temperature under load determines the real Rds(on) per the datasheet's normalized curve.
4.5 V to 42 V load supply — 12 V and 24 V bus ready
The load voltage range spans 4.5 V to 42 V, covering automotive 12 V and 24 V nominal buses with headroom for load-dump transients. No external Vcc supply is needed — the switch is self-powered from the load rail.
Fault protection set — current limiting, open load, over-temp, over-voltage
Integrated fault protection includes fixed current limiting, open-load detection, over-temperature shutdown, and over-voltage clamping. The status flag output signals fault conditions to the system controller. Auto-restart feature allows the switch to re-try after a thermal fault once the junction cools.
TO-220-5 formed leads — through-hole mounting for power dissipation
Housed in a TO-220-5 package with formed leads (PG-TO220-5-11), this part is designed for through-hole mounting on a PCB or heatsink. The large tab provides a low thermal resistance path to the heatsink — critical for dissipating conduction losses at high load currents.
