The Infineon BTS430K2E3122A is a single-channel high-side power switch from the PROFET family, designed to drive resistive, inductive, and lamp loads in automotive and industrial systems. It integrates an N-channel MOSFET with a 30 mOhm typical Rds(on) and a full suite of fault protections — current limiting, open-load detection, over-temperature shutdown, and over-voltage clamp — so the BOM does not need external sense resistors or comparators.

The 36 A maximum output rating is a pulsed/start-up ceiling; continuous current is limited by the package thermal impedance and the 150°C junction temperature limit. Because the input type is non-inverting and the interface is a simple On/Off logic pin, the switch turns on when the gate drive is high — no PWM controller or level shifter needed. The slew-rate controlled turn-on reduces EMI and inrush current into capacitive loads.
