Four-channel ESD clamp for signal-line protection
The D5V0L4B5TS-7 is a 4-channel bidirectional TVS diode array from Diodes Incorporated, built on a Zener clamping structure. It protects up to four independent signal or data lines against ESD and transient overvoltage events in a single TSOT-25 package. The 84 W peak pulse power rating defines the single-event energy it can absorb without damage.
Capacitance and signal integrity on high-speed lines
Each channel presents 15 pF of capacitance at 1 MHz. For a 100 Mbps differential data pair, this adds roughly 7–8 pF of loading per line — acceptable for most LVDS, USB 2.0, and Ethernet PHY interfaces, but worth checking against the driver's capacitive drive limit on very long traces. The bidirectional structure means there is no polarity constraint on the protected line — the same pin clamps positive and negative transients symmetrically. This simplifies layout for AC-coupled or differential pairs where the signal swings through ground.
The device operates across -65 °C to 150 °C junction temperature. Surface-mount assembly in the TSOT-25 footprint (SOT-23-5 Thin variant) means the PCB land pattern matches the standard SOT-23-5 layout with a reduced body thickness. Reflow profile follows standard lead-free solder curves for the package.
