Housed in the DO-201AA / DO-27 axial leaded package, the 1.5KE11CA-T is a through-hole part intended for point-to-point wiring or PCB mounting with 0.042-inch diameter leads. The DO-201 footprint is common on older power supply boards and telecom line cards — the axial body allows it to sit above the board for convection cooling, which matters when the 1500W pulse raises the junction temperature. The wide junction temperature margin means the diode can absorb repetitive pulses without derating the peak power at elevated ambient — useful in outdoor or engine-bay environments.
