1.5 kW transient suppressor for 24 V rail protection
The 1.5KE33A-G: It clamps transients at 45.7 V maximum, conducting 32.82 A of peak pulse current before the protected rail sees overvoltage. The 28.2 V standoff means this part sits directly on a nominal 24 V DC bus — common in industrial control panels, PLC power supplies, and telecom rectifiers — without conducting during normal operation. When a surge exceeds the 31.35 V minimum breakdown threshold, the Zener junction avalanches and shunts the energy to ground.
Through-hole DO-201 package for high-surge board designs
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead package, the 1.5KE33A-G mounts through-hole and is supplied in tape-and-box format. The large body and thick leads handle the thermal pulse of a 1500 W surge without cracking the epoxy or lifting the die bond.
If a second-source is needed for supply hedge, the DO-201 footprint is a standard industry form factor shared by many 1.5 kW Zener TVS diodes from other manufacturers — parametric match must be verified per the application voltage.
