Transient-voltage suppression on a 214 V rail
The 1.5KE250A-G: Its 237.5 V minimum breakdown voltage ensures the device stays off during normal operation, while the 344 V maximum clamping voltage at 4.36 A peak pulse current (10/1000 µs waveform) limits the let-through energy that reaches downstream semiconductors.
Package and temperature envelope for board-level placement
Housed in a DO-201AA (DO-27) axial-lead through-hole package, the 1.5KE250A-G mounts into a standard 0.100-inch pitch hole pattern and is supplied in Tape & Box (TB) format for hand-insertion or automated assembly with axial-tape feeders. The operating junction temperature range spans -55°C to +150°C, covering the full industrial temperature band and extending into high-reliability applications like base-station power or motor-drive DC links where the ambient inside the enclosure can reach 85°C or higher.
