The 1.5KE11A-G: At that pulse condition the device clamps at 15.6 V maximum while conducting 96.15 A peak pulse current — the clamping voltage is what the downstream circuitry sees during the event, so the 15.6 V ceiling defines the protection margin for a 9.4 V nominal rail. The reverse standoff voltage of 9.4 V means the diode draws negligible leakage at normal rail voltage; breakdown is guaranteed between 10.45 V and the clamping point. This suits it for protecting 9 V or 12 V supply buses in general-purpose industrial and telecom equipment.
Through-hole axial fit and temperature range
Housed in a DO-201AA / DO-27 axial-lead package (supplier device package DO-201), the part mounts through-hole and is supplied in Tape & Box format. The axial body is a standard footprint for TVS diodes in this power class — the leads are formed to drop into a 0.100-inch pitch hole pattern on the PCB. The wide range means the clamping characteristics are stable across cold-start and hot ambient conditions without derating the peak pulse power at the high end.
