DO-214AB SMC — board-fit and thermal path
Housed in a DO-214AB (SMC) surface-mount package, the device is suited for reflow assembly and fits standard SMC footprints. The large copper tab on the bottom side conducts heat into the PCB copper plane — the junction-to-ambient thermal resistance depends on the pad area, so a generous ground plane under the package is recommended for sustained pulse trains. Operating temperature spans -65°C to +150°C junction, covering military and industrial thermal extremes.
