JFET front-end for precision analog signal chains

Input bias current is 30 pA typical — the JFET gate leakage is orders of magnitude lower than a bipolar-input op-amp, so the OP15FZ does not load high-impedance sources like pH probes, pyroelectric sensors, or high-value feedback resistors in precision integrators. Input offset voltage is 400 µV maximum at 25°C — this sets the DC accuracy floor. For a gain-of-100 stage the output offset error is 40 mV before any nulling; if the application requires sub-mV precision, plan for an external trim pot or select a lower-offset grade. Supply current is 2.7 mA typical — in a multi-channel data-acquisition board with eight OP15FZ devices the analog rail budget is roughly 22 mA, leaving headroom for the ADC reference and multiplexer.
The supply span is 44 V total — this part runs comfortably on ±15 V rails (30 V total) or a single 36 V rail, with margin to the 44 V absolute maximum.
