500 Mbps LVDS receiver in a SC-70-6
The MAX9130EXT+T: Its headline rating is a 500 Mbps data rate, which sets the ceiling for the serial link it can recover — think high-resolution video interfaces, backplane data paths, or high-speed clock distribution where the differential pair keeps common-mode noise out of the signal.
The supply range of 3V to 3.6V means this receiver runs cleanly off a nominal 3.3V rail with margin for both the regulator's tolerance and transient droop. If your board already carries a 3.3V LDO for the FPGA or the SerDes, this part shares that rail without needing a separate regulator. The single receiver (0 drivers, 1 receiver) is the right fit for a point-to-point LVDS link where you only need one termination at the far end.
SC-70-6 footprint — board area and rework
The MAX9130EXT+T comes in a 6-lead SC-70-6 package (also described as SC-88, SOT-363). That is a small outline, fine-pitch surface-mount package which keeps the board footprint tight but demands careful soldering.
