12-bit multiplying DAC in a through-hole DIP

The Maxim MAX7645ACPP+ is a 12-bit multiplying digital-to-analog converter with a current-unbuffered output and an R-2R ladder architecture. It settles to within ±0.5 LSB INL in 1 µs.

The 1 µs settling time to ±0.5 LSB (max INL) defines the maximum update rate: you can clock new codes at roughly 1 MHz before the output has settled to 12-bit accuracy.
