45 kHz Butterworth — what the cutoff means on the bench
The MAX7424EUA+ is a 5th-order Butterworth low-pass switched-capacitor filter with a 45 kHz cutoff frequency, in an 8-uMAX/uSOP surface-mount package. A 5th-order Butterworth gives a maximally flat passband with a 30 dB/decade roll-off — for anti-aliasing or reconstruction in a 45 kHz signal path, the stopband attenuation builds quickly after the corner, so the filter cleans up out-of-band noise without ringing the passband the way a Chebyshev would.
ROHS3 compliant, which covers the full RoHS exemption list including lead in solder — no special handling or exemption expiry to track for EU market shipments.
