30kV/µs CMTI — why it matters for motor drives and inverters
Common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) of 30kV/µs minimum means this isolator can reject fast voltage spikes that couple across the isolation barrier during IGBT switching or relay contact bounce. In a variable-frequency drive or servo drive, the DC bus can swing hundreds of volts in a few nanoseconds; a low-CMTI isolator would latch or corrupt the SPI data. The 30kV/µs rating here is on par with industrial-grade magnetic isolators and gives enough margin for most 400V-class drive applications. The 3ns typical rise/fall time also helps maintain signal integrity on the BGA's short PCB traces.

The 32-BGA package measures 15x11.25mm — a compact footprint for an isolator that includes its own isolated power supply. Supply voltage range of 3V to 3.6V means it runs directly from a 3.3V rail without an extra regulator.
For dual-sourcing or a pin-compatible alternate, the ADM3252EABCZ (also with integrated isolated power) is a functional cross-shop candidate — it offers 460Kbps data rate and 2500Vrms isolation, but its channel count is 4 (2/2 split) and it is an RS232 transceiver isolator, not a general-purpose SPI isolator, so the fit depends on the interface type needed.
