TSOT-23-6 high-side driver with 2.4A peak gate drive
The LTC4440ES6#TRPBF is a single-channel high-side N-channel MOSFET gate driver from Analog Devices, housed in a TSOT-23-6 package. It delivers 2.4A peak source and sink current, which is enough to charge and discharge the gate capacitance of a medium-power N-channel MOSFET in under 20 ns — critical for reducing switching losses in a synchronous buck or boost converter. The bootstrap supply is rated up to 80 V, so the driver can float the gate voltage above a high-side rail that swings up to that level. This makes it a direct fit for 48 V bus converters and telecom power stages where the high-side MOSFET source rides on a switching node.
Supply rails and logic interface thresholds
The driver operates from an 8 V to 15 V supply rail — the VCC pin powers the internal bias and the bootstrap diode. Rise and fall times are 10 ns and 7 ns typical, respectively. At 2.4 A peak drive, the actual slew rate at the MOSFET gate is limited by the total gate charge and the series gate resistor — the driver itself is not the bottleneck for most designs up to a few hundred kHz.
