Z-axis yaw rate sensing at ±150 °/s
The ADXRS623BBGZ is a Z-axis (yaw) rate gyroscope from Analog Devices, delivering an analog voltage output proportional to angular velocity. Its ±150 °/s full-scale range covers moderate-rate rotation sensing — suitable for platform stabilization, inertial measurement units, and industrial navigation where the rotation rate stays within that span. Sensitivity is 12.5 mV/°/s typical, meaning a 100 °/s rotation produces a 1.25 V change at the output pin. The 4.75 V supply rail and 3.5 mA current draw keep the power budget low in battery-backed or thermally constrained assemblies.
Temperature range and bandwidth flexibility
The adjustable bandwidth from 1 Hz to 3 kHz lets the designer trade noise bandwidth against response time: a 10 Hz low-pass filter rejects vibration artifacts in a vehicle-mounted application, while a 1 kHz setting preserves transient fidelity for fast-rotating platforms. An integrated temperature sensor provides on-die ambient monitoring, useful for compensating the gyroscope's bias drift over temperature in post-processing or for system-level thermal diagnostics.
