It provides 5000 Vrms isolation between input and output, making it suitable for reinforced isolation in medical equipment, motor drives, and industrial fieldbus interfaces where safety isolation is required. The part operates from a single 3 V to 5.5 V supply on each side and supports a 100 Mbps data rate with 24 ns maximum propagation delay and 2.5 ns typical rise/fall times.
It is a current-production part, not subject to last-time-buy or end-of-life risk. No direct second-source alternate is on record, but the iCoupler family includes functionally similar 2-channel parts such as the ADUM2200BRWZ (10 Mbps, 2/0 inputs) and ADUM221N1BRWZ (150 Mbps, 1/1 inputs) for designs that can trade data rate or channel direction.
