The ADUM1251WARZ-RL7 is an Analog Devices I²C digital isolator using magnetic coupling to provide 2500Vrms galvanic isolation between two I²C bus segments. It integrates two bidirectional channels (Side 1/Side 2 input count 2/1) to handle the clock and data lines of an I²C link, supporting data rates up to 1Mbps — fast-mode plus capable. The 25kV/µs minimum common-mode transient immunity (CMTI) is the spec that matters in motor-drive or inverter-fed environments — fast switching edges on the high-voltage side won't couple through and corrupt the bus.
Automotive qualification and temperature grade
This part is intended for automotive ECU applications where the isolation barrier must survive the thermal cycling and vibration profile of a vehicle's powertrain or chassis domain. The ROHS3 compliance is standard for current production.
Package and mounting — 8-SOIC
Housed in an 8-SOIC package with 3.90mm body width, surface-mount only. The supplier device package is 8-SOIC. Standard SOIC-8 footprint; no exposed pad, so thermal dissipation is through the leads and board copper.
