I2C bus isolator for automotive and industrial domains
The ADUM1251WARZ is an automotive-grade, 2-channel digital isolator from Analog Devices built around iCoupler magnetic coupling technology, purpose-designed for I2C bus isolation.
That puts it in the cabin and chassis-domain bracket — suitable for battery-management systems, on-board charger communication, and infotainment bus isolation. The 105°C ceiling is the junction limit; derate for self-heating if the ambient runs near the top end.
Transient immunity and timing margins
Common-mode transient immunity is specified at a minimum of 25kV/µs.
No isolated power on board; the part draws its supply from the bus-side rails. The 2/1 input count (side 1 / side 2) matches the I2C topology: one bidirectional channel for data, one unidirectional for clock.
