2 Mbps, 3000 Vrms — what this isolator delivers
The ADUM1246ARZ-RL7 is a two-channel digital isolator from the iCoupler series, built on magnetic coupling technology. It passes a 2 Mbps data stream across a 3000 Vrms isolation barrier in an 8-SOIC footprint. Unidirectional channel type with one input on side 1 and one on side 2 — straightforward for splitting a single signal line across a ground boundary.
Supply rails and timing margins
Propagation delay is 180 ns max each way, with 8 ns max pulse-width distortion. Rise/fall times typ 2 ns. That timing budget comfortably handles SPI clock rates up to 2 Mbps and most UART or GPIO isolation jobs.
Common-mode transient immunity and temperature range
Minimum common-mode transient immunity is 25 kV/µs — a key number for motor-drive, inverter, or any environment where fast voltage swings (from switching IGBTs or SiC FETs) could corrupt the data path.
Lifecycle and compliance
ROHS3 compliant. Surface-mount in an 8-SOIC package. No isolated power on board; this is a signal isolator only.
