The ADPD188GG-ACEZRL is an ambient light sensor from Analog Devices, part of the ADPD188 family, designed to measure light at a peak wavelength of 525 nm. It outputs digitized photometric data over either I²C or SPI.
It supports both I²C and SPI digital interfaces, selectable by the host. This gives the designer flexibility to match the sensor to an existing bus architecture.
The ADUX1020BCPZRL7 is a different part — it adds gesture detection and proximity sensing, but its peak sensitivity is 960 nm (not 525 nm), and it supports I²C only. It is not a pin-compatible or spectral replacement for the ADPD188GG-ACEZRL.
