The 250 kbps data rate places the ADM3070EARZ-REEL7 in the sweet spot for runs exceeding 1000 metres on twisted-pair cable. For comparison, the sibling ADM3077EYRZ-REEL7 runs at 16 Mbps but trades cable reach for speed — the 250 kbps part is the right choice when distance and noise margin matter more than throughput. The extended-temperature ADM3077EYRZ-REEL7 (-40°C to +125°C) is available if the ambient exceeds +85°C, but for the majority of installations this grade is sufficient.
Active lifecycle — no near-term obsolescence
As an active, in-production part from a major supplier, the ADM3070EARZ-REEL7 is sourced to order against BOM quantities. For higher speed requirements, the ADM3077 family (16 Mbps) is a parametric alternative but requires a BOM review for cable-length trade-offs.
