Hot swap controller with I²C fault reporting
It integrates an I²C interface for fault reporting and a latched fault output, plus under-voltage lockout (UVLO) to prevent operation below the supply threshold. The part operates from 2.7 V to 16.5 V and draws 650 µA quiescent current — low enough to keep the power budget tight in multi-rail systems. Programmable current limit, fault timeout, and turn-on voltage let you tune the inrush and fault response without external components beyond the sense resistor and pass FET.
No internal switch — external FET required
This controller has no internal pass switch; it drives an external N-channel MOSFET. That means the current rating is set by the FET and sense resistor you choose, not by the controller itself.
