3 GHz PLL synthesizer for RF/IF local oscillators
The Analog Devices ADF4218LBRUZ-REEL7 is a single-circuit integer-N PLL frequency synthesizer designed for RF and IF local-oscillator generation in wireless infrastructure, satellite downconverters, and microwave test equipment. It accepts CMOS or TTL reference inputs and delivers a clock output up to 3 GHz — the headline rating that decides whether this part covers the LO band you need. The 3:1 input-to-output ratio means three reference paths feed one output, useful for redundant or multi-band reference selection.
Supply and temperature — what they mean for the BOM
The supply range is 2.6 V to 3.3 V. The -40°C to 85°C operating range covers industrial environments.
Package and mounting — board-fit note
Housed in a 20-TSSOP package (4.40 mm body width), surface-mount only. The TSSOP-20 footprint is standard for PLLs in this performance tier, but the fine pitch demands careful solder-paste stencil design and a solid ground plane under the part for phase-noise performance. Cut Tape also available for prototype runs.
Lifecycle and sourcing posture
ROHS3 compliant.
