2.4 GHz PLL synthesizer in 20-TSSOP
The ADF4212LBRUZ-RL7 is a single-circuit PLL-based clock/frequency synthesizer from Analog Devices, targeting RF/IF local-oscillator generation up to 2.4 GHz. It accepts CMOS or TTL reference inputs and delivers a differential clock output, which helps keep the phase-noise floor low in tight-layout receiver chains. Supply range is 2.7 V to 3.3 V — a 3.0 V rail with 10% tolerance lands inside the window, but a 2.5 V or 3.6 V rail does not. The 3:1 input-to-output ratio means three reference paths feed one PLL core, useful for multi-band radios that switch between a TCXO, a VCXO, and an external clock.
Industrial temperature and differential signalling
The differential input and output (both Yes per the spec) reject common-mode noise on long board traces — a real advantage when the synthesizer sits 30 mm from the mixer on a noisy 4-layer board. Compared to the tube-packaged ADF4212LBRUZ, the -RL7 suffix denotes Tape & Reel (TR) and Cut Tape (CT) delivery, which is the standard for automated pick-and-place.
