12+1 gamma reference buffer for TFT-LCD panels
It integrates 12 buffer channels plus a dedicated VCOM output, all in a single 48-LFCSP (7x7) package.
Slew rate and bandwidth — what they mean for panel drive
With a slew rate of 6 V/µs and a -3 dB bandwidth of 4.5 MHz, the ADD8707ACPZ-REEL7 is sized for gamma correction in HD and FHD panels. The 6 V/µs slew rate handles the voltage steps in the gamma ladder without visible settling artifacts at typical row-driver update rates. The 4.5 MHz bandwidth is not a video-line driver spec — it is the small-signal bandwidth for the buffer, adequate for the DC and low-frequency AC content of gamma reference voltages.
Output current and channel count
Each of the 12 buffer channels can source or sink 50 mA, which is enough to drive the gamma resistor string and the VCOM line directly without external emitter-followers. The 12-channel count plus the separate VCOM output is the part's defining BOM feature — it replaces a dozen discrete op-amps and a VCOM driver, saving board area and reducing component count.
Package and mounting
The device is supplied in a 48-VFQFN exposed-pad package (48-LFCSP, 7x7 mm). The package is surface-mount, compatible with standard reflow profiles.
Lifecycle and compliance
For new designs, the active status means no immediate supply risk from obsolescence.
