What this DDS brings to a signal chain
The AD9851BRSZRL is a complete direct digital synthesizer (DDS) from Analog Devices, integrating a 10-bit DAC on-chip with a 180 MHz master clock. The 32-bit tuning word gives you sub-Hz frequency resolution across the output range — useful for agile signal generation in communications, test equipment, or sensor excitation. It runs from a 2.7V to 5.25V supply, so you can drop it into a 3.3V or 5V rail without a separate regulator.
It is ROHS3 compliant, which simplifies export and environmental compliance. Supplied in Tape & Reel (TR) or Cut Tape (CT) options, the 28-SSOP package (0.209" body width, 5.30 mm) is a common footprint that reflow solders without special handling.
