12-bit, 10 MSPS — the sweet spot for mid-speed acquisition
The AD9220ARZ is a 12-bit pipelined ADC sampling at 10 MSPS. That rate lands it squarely between slow SAR converters and high-speed flash ADCs — ideal for industrial data acquisition, medical imaging, or communications IF sampling where you need 10+ MSPS without paying for 40 MSPS overhead. It accepts both differential and single-ended inputs, so you can drive it directly from a sensor bridge or a transformer-coupled front end without extra op-amp stages. The parallel interface keeps the digital side simple — no SPI setup, just a 12-bit bus to the FPGA or DSP.
Active production — no EOL scramble
It is ROHS3 compliant and ships in a tube.
Package — 28-SOIC, rework-friendly
The 28-SOIC package (0.295-inch body width, 7.50 mm) is a through-hole-free surface-mount footprint that reworks cleanly under hot air. The 1.27 mm pitch gives you room to route traces between pads on a two-layer board.
